REGULAR SEASON IS UNDERWAY!!
Hello Banff Bears!
Our 2011 - 2012 season is now underway with all Divisions now practicing.
A reminder that ALL children must be supervised at all times.
The practice schedule is as follows:
5:45-6:45P Mon/Wed Initiation Arena 1
6:15-7:30P Mon/Wed Peewee Arena 2
5:45-6:45P Tue/Thu Novice Arena 1
6:15-7:30P Tue/Thu Midget Girls Arena 2
7:00-8:00P Tue/Thu Atom Arena 1

League Director - Midget Girls - NOT FILLED
1) Attend CAMHA meetings as the representative of BMH, 2) Attend the CAHL league meetings as the representative of BMH, 3) Ensure that BMH has qualified minor officials and certified referees, linesmen for all league, playoff, exhibition and tournament games, 4) Ensure that all coaches and managers are aware of CAMHA By-laws and Regulations, and 5) Report to the board the summary of all CAHL meetings and actions.

Hello everyone! We are still in need of the following positions:
CAHL Director
The CAHL Director is Banff Minor Hockey's main representation and liaison with the Central Alberta Hockey League. The Director must attend all scheduled CAHL meetings (approximately 7 - 8 meetings during the season) held in Strathmore, which usually take place in the first two weeks of each month during hockey season, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Director must also attend all BMH monthly meetings, generally held the first Monday of each month.
Duties:
- Raise any issues or concerns on behalf of BMH to CAHL
- Inform BMH of any issues or updates from CAHL
- Be familiar with CAHL and Hockey Alberta by-laws, rules and regulations
- Liaise with BMH managers and coaches. Provie assistance / solutions for issues, complaints, appeals regarding CAHL.
- Liaise with BMH CAHL Governmor in handling league issues, complaints or disciplinary procedures.
- Perform all other responsibilities as outlined by CAHL.
CAHL Governor
The CAHL Governor must attend all scheduled CAHL meetings (approximately 7 - 8 meetings during the season) held in Strathmore, which usually take place in the first two weeks of each month during hockey season, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Director must also attend all BMH monthly meetings, generally held the first Monday of each month.
Duties:
- Be aware of all CAHL regulations and by-laws.
- Obtain score sheets from teams on a timely basis.
- Enter scoring information on website on a timely basis.
- Be familiar with CAHL and Hockey Alberta by-laws, rules and regulations
- be available to team managers for questions/solutions
- issue and administrate suspension notices
- approve game changes, cross-over games within their division
- provide update reports monthly at all CAHL meetings, including the AGM
- notify Executive of any extenuating circumstances or protests filed by teams or associations.
- perform all other responsibilities as outlined by CAHL.
